Best AM/FM antenna

never thought about hooking an external antenna to the radio. just dealt with getting 1 FM station that comes and goes. AM works OK for me and I use it to listen to Cubs and Bears games. Usually use phone for music into the radio via blue tooth. But, just switching on the radio and listening to regular FM would be very convenient for those times when I am to lazy to get my phone out and fire it up.

So, I know you have a scarab and I have Chaparral, but gotta think if your radio has external radio antenna connections, mine should to.

I'll have to give a look and see if I can access the back of the radio in my boat through the port side closet area. Never looked. Hmmm....

Small thing, but this has me excited!

Anyone with a Polk head unit added this? I assume the Polk HU has a standard antennae connection?

I haven't used the one I linked, but I've used the one you linked many times. They suck. The one I linked has the T shape that pulls in signals better, and it's amplified. I've had good luck with amplified antennas in the past. Amplification is not magic, but it may bring in 10-20% more stations, or clear up stations with mild static.
