Seems like the boats that we’re going with us have decided to bail. We found a couple boats to tag along with from FB. I’m not opposed to going alone but would rather have at least one go with.

Our dates allow us to get there the 6th if needed and first half of week starting the 14th. This allowance along with my wife's sister living in Tampa means we will be going down to Florida unless it looks like a hurricane.

Honestly this may be last time we go bimini. The bucket list always grows. The boat needs to grow as well!

I’ve been looking at going to Freeport instead of Bimini next time. A little farther but I’m confident I can make it on less than a full tank. You in on that trip?

Possibly! We have about 5 years where expenses are going to be the highest ever but we are also making more so as all things it's a budget! I hate debt and we are looking at getting her a car and let the two teens drive the expedition. Meanwhile a bathroom is half done, and the driveway needs to be ripped out and redone along with roof. Did i mention those teens? Private school is something we really value but we are certainly on the bottom of the tax bracket in the schools. I got a boat so i still win.

Abacos!

One of the boats I have been looking at is the 252 FSH. While the 255 has the superchargers, the extra range interests me and we are really getting into fishing here. But 110 gallons on twin 1.9's makes for a very nice setup.

That’s been one of the biggest positives of the 230 for me - the range. We always stop halfway across the crossing so others can fill up and whatnot but it’s always super nice knowing we can just stretch our legs during that time and still make it across with a good chunk of our tank left over. Maybe I’m just a fuddy duddy but I’ve only travelled throttle down a handful of times and rarely felt that I’ve needed more speed so the tradeoff has totally been worth it in my book.

That being said if our hulls cut through waves better I could see appreciating a faster boat.
