California Compliant Yamaha Boats

@RD23 , in an effort to retrack this thread, what are your plans now that it’s clear you can’t buy a new 210 in CA? Have you considered a 190 or a scarab instead? For instance, You can’t buy a an FSH in CA but you can get a jet powered scarab center console here. I saw a 25’ twin engine 500 hp model at a dealer in Bakersfield a while back, it looked nice but I know that’s not the type of boat you are looking at.

@FSH 210 Sport ,I heard Newsom signed an order to ban the sale of any new gas powered vehicle by 2035. Kind of a ways off yet, but California definatly leads the zero emissions race. (Even though producing solar panels and batteries creates emissions)

Yes, gov newsome signed an executive order banning the sale of new gas/diesel powered vehicles in 2035. As far as solar and wind those are net carbon gain resources, in their service life solar and wind generating devices will never produce the energy it took to produce them, same as ethanol-1.3 units of energy in for 1 unit of energy out. So it’s not zero emissions, it’s a net gain of emissions. It’s just money going into the pockets of those selling these things. None of these industries can survive without huge subsidies.

Again though, this is CA. Look at Powell and Mead, these lakes can’t fill with average to above average snowpack for the past 10 years. It’s because they pump so much of the Colorado into L.A. and the salton sea. We’re all pulling from the same water source so regardless of whether the Californians are here, NV, or CA, water is already a problem. It’s the idiotic carb laws, gun laws, building regulations, unreasonable living costs, etc. that I worry about coming here.
Same here in CA. We have some awesome lakes here in No. Ca. But they are rarely full because of the massive amount of water we send to L.A. We have the CA Aquaduct to send water to L.A, now they want to build 2 tunnels in the Sacramento River to send more. Total BS.

Meanwhile just off the coast are quadrillions of gallons of water that can have the salt removed for a virtually unlimited supply of water.

If you'all want a lot of water and trees and outdoors, we have plenty here in Michigan! Boating season is shorter and we have no mountains :( Although winter was really only two months this year. I cracked the snow blower 4 times, and 1 was a courtesy since I was getting bored.

I have 4 star engines and cats on my 15 AR240. Bought it thinking I would sell it at a premium to someone in California :)?, stay calm I'm joking.....about selling.

You would need to register it as a non resident out of state. Example: AZ.
how do you do that? haha do you need an address out of state?

Yes you do. I sent you a pm explaining the process.

That's why we ended up in Maine - mountains, ocean, lakes - it's pretty great! (and to that end, I loved going to Michigan as a kid :D )

Not if AZ. You can register the boat as a non resident which requires a small yearly fee to AZ Fish and Wildlife.
