Having piloted big ship in a previous career, that puts a knot in my stomach. That has to be horrifically surreal for the crew in the pilot house - seeing the death of your ship as it’s happening, and not being able to do a thing about it besides issue a distress call and prepare to evacuate the survivors in heavy seas.

Maybe its a small channel theyre on but ship that long should approached the gigantic waves 45 degree angle, not head on.

I see another ship out there how did 3 people die? When it broke were they instantly in the water?

Not much the other ship could do in that weather besides relay the mayday to rescue authorities, and mark/monitor the position of the wreck. I read that a rescue boat had trouble seeing its surroundings and making its way to the wreck with directions from shore.

very long hull between 2 giant waves, it will break. they should have approached it 45 degree angle so that entire hull touch the water at all times but I dont know the situation maybe he doesnt have that option since lot of ship around in the video.

This was my thought. Maybe below deck trying to repair some damage that the ship was taking when it gave way or something collapsed on them.

Seems that as many as 6 may have died, 3 confirmed and at least 3 still missing....probably from hypothermia after abandoning ship in the frigid water of the black sea.
