I’d guess it’s under warranty for that

Early 1st gen Connext were warrantied for delimitation. Mine delaminated but i didn't bother getting it replaced. I just used a plastic razor blade and some cleaner to remove the coating and it looks new, did it years ago and you cant tell. If anything it looks brighter

But it is inside the unit. Did you open unit to remove it?

Below is from Facebook chat

its a liquid glue that has separated from the glass. Once this happens, it continues rapidly. You have about 1 more boating season before the glass pulls away completely and the touch is no longer responsive. I would see if you can get it replaced under warranty (The replacement units are $3k+ now) If not- shoot me a DM and I will restore it for you at no cost.

It's delamination- internal liquid glue separating from the LCD due to poor material specification. UV, heat, humidity and vibration are what causes this. Only the most durable screen design can resist this environment. Here is a video of another manufacturers (malibu) internal glue leaking out also. If anyone can take a photo of the back of the connext screen, I can let you know what repair services I will have available for this Yamaha 2024 model. Usually these are covered under a 1 year warranty but if outside of that, I can refurbish the screen with a more permanent fix.
