Im looking for any recommendations for the easiest way to remove my cup holders. I dont want to end up beating the hell out of the boat trying to remove these. I know the silicone adhesive from the factory can be a pain. Any tips or tricks? Thanks

Use a plastic putty knife to get under the lip of the cup holder and break the silicone seal. Also, if you can get below the cup holder to wiggle and push it up to help in the removal.

Stick a board of any type (wake- surf- knee- etc) in the storage area underneath and they pop right off. I can't keep my cup holders in. No amount of adhesive helps :banghead: :)

I used a thin and flexible metal putty knife around the lip of the cupholder to break the silicone seal...some have little, some have lots. You will have to clean away the old silicone and reapply after your mod. Once the silicone seal is broken, it will still be holding on, so you will have to use the wiggle and pulling, with a little pushing from under if you can get there.

Yeah....mine pop out easily. You aren't going to hurt the fiberglass.....I just stuff my hand in the whole and make fist and pull...they have all come out easily that way. Perhaps they came up with a better adhesive as they made newer models.

I just removed one last night. @Julian just described exactly how I popped it out.
