@Dfred I never went to do the engine internal anode replacement. I flush with Salt Away after every use using the two valve system. The people I know who follow similar process and went to replace their internal anodes told me that even after 10years the anodes look like new.
If you manage to do it I would appreciate any feedback on the process and the conditions those anodes were in when removed.
@ks9mm and @FSH 210 Sport: Yes my engines are flushed after every single outing. For like 5/7 minutes each. One after the other (I initially tried to have a T and flush both engines at the same time but I was afraid I would do something wrong and shut off one engine without shutting off the water and risk a water lock).
I installed tow valve under the clean out tray. I used the Island Racing kit. Just cut the cooling water inlet hose under the tray and insert the valves. It is a really easy job. The most difficult and longer part is to remove the silicone to be able to take out the clean out tray.
Some people installs them in the engine bay but i didn't want to deal with going around a very hot engine to close the lines before flushing.
Under the clean out tray things are warm but nothing is really hot to the touch even right after you turn off the engines.
If you do a search on two valves install on this forum you will find several videos showing the installation.
Hope this helps!!
