Dog ladder question--Ladder on newer boats...is it fixed or does it move under the boat?

Considering a dog platform like this one and wondering if it would work on the new boats or not.

I know it wouldn't work on my old boat because the ladder on the older models would swing under the boat...does it still do this on the new models?

There is a bracket that goes across the two side pieces and it stops the ladder from swinging under on the newer boats.
