flushing pissers

So, I boat in Salt and flush my boat every time out including using Salt Away. Problem is, I can't get fresh water to flow out of the 3 pissers due to low water pressure. I changed to a bigger diameter hose, no change. Shorter hose/ different location, no go. Water pressure here at the NC coast sucks.
I've seen running weed eater line from outside to inside mentioned, but does that really work ? I really want fresh water running through upon flushing.
I check the 3 streams of water every time out and they look good, but I know salt must be building up.
Any suggestions ?

Never mind folks. Found a video running a weed wacker line from the inside out which makes more sense....

Simple solution for you on this. There is a lot of water flowing out through the water inlet in the jet pump, and water & salt away should flow through there to clean out those passages. But, after you’ve flushed the jet pump if you gently clamp off that water inlet line like you would do if you were getting towed (or install a towing valve) all that water flowing out through the jet pump will get diverted to the rest of the engine and will flow out the pilot water outlets. One outlet comes from the intercooler and the other from the oil cooler, so pretty important to get fresh water & salt away through those devices.

Tow valve is a good idea to up pressure.......also look try to get better pressure on the hose. The tow valve or a clamp allows more of the salt away product to stay in the engine longer and not drain out your jet pumps.

Thanks Guys. Getting a clamp or valve on my boat is going to be tough. Single engine and the single tray is opposite of my flush port connection.

This thread done by @lazergeek may give you some ideas.. he set up his raw water inlets with electric valves. It would be bit of work to install but after that it would just be a flip of a switch. He can flush his engines while wet slipped in salt water with this set up.

I take it you want to fill the live well with fresh water before heading out onto salt water? Pretty crafty way to get 26 gallons of fresh water without taking up storage space adding a separate tank!

Yep, I have just been using the straw method with my intake hose to my washdown pump for now, it works great. I put a y valve in the intake so I can switch bewteeen the factory raw water intake or the fresh water to the washdown pump.

Thanks. I just purchased a small water pressure regulator that mounts to an outside hose bibb. It has a hand dial from 45 psi to 160 psi. It was only $26 so I'll try that first. I do have clamp ring pliers in the boat in case of a tow situation.

OK, I would like a general consensus here from guys who have a supercharged boat on flushing the 3 pissers.
My small pressure regulator purchase previously mentioned did not work as expected, so I increased my whole house water pressure out at the street to 65 psi from the factory set 45 psi. 80 psi is considered max and high for a house so I left it below this.
I did a test flush on the boat and only had a trickle of water, sparadicaly at that, from the front and middle pisser. Nothing coming out of the rear one.
Keeping in mind, I already increased my water pressure, purchased a 3/4" diameter hard 50' hose only, etc. trying to get more pressure into the boat.
So, I know there was mention of installing a valve, or clamping off the water inlet at the rear of the engine, what a pain to get to, etc., but I would rather not do this.
So, my question is for all the folks that have 3 pissers/ supercharged boats.
When flushing, are you all getting water to flow out of all 3 ?

When flushing one engine at a time, all three pissers have strong flow.
If I flush both engines at the same time, the pisser flow is weak and does not flow out all three.

Thanks. Yea, single engine boat here. Only other thing I can try is flush the boat in my front yard right at my water meter RPZ valve, as the water pressure should be greatest right at the source. Not ideal for me though....

Water from the meter comes to the house through a 3/4" line. When I flush the engines in my driveway (hose connected to where the water enters our house) I can flush both engines at the same time.
Water to my boat lift passes through a 1/2" line. I can only flush 1 engine at a time when on the boat lift.
Can you run a large diameter hose from your RPZ valve to where you store your boat?

I already have a larger 3/4" hose and have used it with no change. I do flush in my driveway and have one hose bib at front and one at back of house. At my RPZ valve inside the meter box at the street is a spigot I can hook up to. Not ideal backing boat in the grass next to large oak tree, etc. hooking up the hose in a meter box I'm sure is full of black widow spiders... etc. But I will try it.

my boat is stored out back next to garage under an aluminum canopy only about 75' from the back hose bib.

And garden bibs have a much larger opening than do hose bibs. That also should be looked at.
