How do I upload an image - does it have to be hosted on the web somewhere - or can I upload it from my computer??

it's so easy, if you're using windows just choose it out of your documents,
if you want to add an avitar, go to your profile and click on your aviatar and it will let your browse your computer for it.
if you want to add a picture in the post just choose the upload file button (bottom right) and choose it from your documents, no resizing or other hoops to jump throught,
if youwant to add a picture to your signature line you may have to crop or resize just so every post doesn't have a giant picture attached,

glad to have you onboard, lot's of neat upgrades here, if you want to alert someone about a post add their name in with @ feature, @RumDiet or if you like something hit the "like" button (bottom right) or you can # a topic name, lot's of stuff, it took me about a week to get used to it but I find it works much better,
