Hours meter 2016 242 Limited S (non e-series)

So I was chatting with a guy from another site on their FB page who was wondering how to access the hours meter on a non e-series 2016 Limited S. I assumed it was the same as the e-series with the toggle buttons on the tachometer but his model doesn't have them. The latest manual online is from 2009 and still indicated toggles but the photo of his don't have the buttons. Any help? Just trying to help out a fellow jet boater.

Huh.....interesting....I've not studied the Connext sys info screen, but are the hours not available on the engines tab?

Not sure. On the e-series you have the toggle buttons. I don't know if they make different screens for the connext but I can't seem to access my hours from the connext.

Those should be listed in "Trip info" screen.

Total engine hours. I think the middle panel info resets, those hours do not.

I had an interesting conversation with the local Yamaha dealer's technician on my 2015 242 Limited S. I keep accurate records of dates, times and engine hours displayed on the Connext screen. The technician told me through his diagnostic tool, the actual engine hours is approximately 25 hours less than what is being reporting on the screen. It can't be the difference between "Switch on" and "Engine on" because we spent a lot of time in float mode with the switch on, listening to music. Does anyone else have history or experience with this or something similar? Thanks.
