So I started my boat today and heard a little bit of a strange noise. When I got to the dock the high temp alarm was going off so I shut off the engine and checked the clean out plugs. I felt around and thought I felt some weeds so I pulled it out but when I did I could see a webbed foot. At first I thought it was a frog but then I noticed there was a hardshell attached it must’ve been a turtle. I tried to pull out more but the shell was stuck in the impeller. I pulled away from the dock and give it a couple quick bursts of throttle. It’s seem to clear out most of the turtle. There was still a shell stuck in the impeller I brought it out and did a couple high speed runs and it seems to cleared the shell. Rpm and top speed seemed normal.

Nice job @Adubbs76 but next time remember...You're suppose to Turtle Wax your hull not Turtle Whacks your impeller.

I see your Turtle and raise you a cat fish! A big catfish! Turned into catfish mush and wedged in the impeller.

After this and having to pull the stuck fish out...my daughter would do "the catfish dance" on the swim platform before I'd start the boat in its slip!

I see your turtles, catfishes and I fold. nothing but some towing rope

Hmmm...I'll raise you one inner tube. IMG_0670rev1.jpg

I call your Turtles, rope and inner tube and lay down:

  1. Rope
  2. Catfish
  3. Frisbee
  4. 4x8 Sheet of plywood
  5. Baseball Sized Rock
  6. Pine Cone
  7. 2 lbs of Sargasso weed
I'm calling that 4 of a kind: Rope/Plywood/Pine Cone/Seaweed! LOL

Oh wait....or is that a Royal Straight.....nope....just a Royal PITA!

One of my boat pumps ingested a dirty diaper ( at woodward reservoir). I convinced myself it was just dirty with bottom mud anyway. It was the first and last time I boated there.

I heard guys mention giving the ignition/start button a couple of clicks to give any "squatting" sea life a chance to depart. Anyone use this technique?

I did the turtle dance on my swim platform today.

Ok...I'm not sure I can rate that "Winner"....but out of respect for that dirty job...I fold! LOL

For historical purposes... I will go ahead and share this one again.
Next time you want to see how far you can poke one out into the lake, think of me and other fellow jet boaters!

But hey, at least it wasn’t a diaper. :depressed:

Oh, I get it...hole in 1.

Sucked up a Nike hat approaching the ramp. Was about 100 yards away when the engine started overheating. Shut it down and soon as I pulled the clean out plug saw it. Hat got no damage LOL. Left it at the ramp in case anyone was looking for it.
