I'm getting ready to order one of these covers and thought I would check and see if anyone has purchased one of these and share their thoughts. Any issues with the way it attaches etc. Thank you in advance.

Following....also curious.

So I reached out to JBP. Apparently, it just a flat piece that covers the screen that secures with some type of suction device. I was hoping it was more like a plastic lid that fit over the edges of the screen as well. For the price, I'm going to pass. I can get some black plexiglass and make something myself for much less.

I could not find the 12” cover on JBP’s website, jus the one pictured. Thankfully I don’t need one (no connext on my 2010).

These covers seem to do really well in fresh water. Salt water users have had good luck as long as they clean the suction tape really well after getting salt water on the tape.

Hi Will. I like the concept, but wish they were 3D. Can the suction tape be replaced?

If it were to fail we could send replacement tape. Is that what you're asking?

Yes, if its replaceable.
Yes should be pretty easy to replace. We use a primer and heavy duty PSA to adhere to the Starboard material. So far we've not seen issues with delamination.

Anything for the stand alone 12" screens? This would be pretty easy to 3d printer and snap into place.

Nothing that we've done. We simply cut a piece of Starboard and add some suction tape to the back side. The end result is sun shade for the screen in a simple product.

We could design a clip on cover for the stand alone screen but the size would be larger than our printer's build chamber and would take forever to print one if our build chamber were large enough. Also cost would be crazy high. That is why we opted for the simple Starboard version.

You just gave me an idea. I have some 1/4" scraps of starboard, now I know what I'm going to use them for. Thanks!

That's what we use. The key to making it work well is the suction tape.
