I recently checked the Glastron website and was unable to find any type of jet boat for 2019, only stern drive and out boards. Did Glastron discontinue making the jet boat line?

Seems that way, saw that too a couple weeks ago

Yea I’m a little disappointed. The vortex webpage is Chaparrals jet boat. I can’t find anything for Glastron which has me wondering..

Oops! I read Chaparrel.

depends how badly you want one, I know someone who is thinking to sale his
@AbuAyd

I own a 207, just skeptical as to why Glastron suddenly discontinued makin them..

I mean, they didn't market them worth a shit. I've never seen one at a boat show, and it's very rare someone pops up here with one. I've seen several new Glastrons on our local lake, but none jets. Talked to one guy, who happened to work at the dealer, and he said they didn't even stock any of the jet powered units and noone had ever asked him for one. Even when people pop on here to ask about comparisons - Glastron is almost never in the mix. Shame, really. Cosmetically, at least, I thought they were pretty sharp.

this. when they announced them a few years ago, as glastron fans already, we got excited.. I called the nearest dealer he didnt know they had jet boats lol-got a survey after that, filled out honestly(poor) received multiple emails from dealer, dealer owner, finally from glastron exec.

All of which I responded to, but correspondence ended there, no attempt was made to setup a showing for us, or get some brochures, nothing. It was all "come back to the dealer and well be glad to set something up" I HATE that.

They are sharp. The swim deck areas is very cool looking, but never seen one in person lol I am not surprised if they are done with jets.... Any bets it had to partially do with BRP problems as of late maybe?

Conversely, Ive had two Yamaha dealers put time into convincing us. Surdyke, in Osage Beach, let us crawl ALL over and through their boats, answered questions seemingly honestly.... Dealer up here, a little less excited...but still had info at the boat show. (just dont see many up here in the river area)

I was under the impression they were finally getting their s..t together, after a few issues with early units like the 2014 scarabs etc...
I like the sound of the BRP engines a lot more as compared to yamaha 1.8s. And those new ACEs are state of art. But Yamaha has had such a huge jump on that market.

I sent them an email and they responded with: The jet boat lineup has been discontinued for 2019. Parts for your GTS 187 will still be available as most to all are interchangeable with our other power options. All parts for your motor will continue to be from BRP.

I’m biased, but I still think there isn’t a better looking boat, especially if you like a classic look. I do have every option offered by Glastron installed. I’ve had only very minor issues with my 2014, easily fixable. Once I learned how to drive it, We have had a blast and get compliments every time we are on the water. My problem is I need more time to take it out! I almost sold it last week for $18K, but got cold feet...love this thing and $40K to 18K turned my stomach....but that was the offer.

Keep it! A fun boat you have figured out... That's hard to beat. Focus on your other problem of making time to enjoy it.

As Bobby posted, we were told by the Glastron rep that they were dropping the jet boat models when we were at the boat show back in Sept.

Well after the disappointing news of Glastron's exit from the jet-boat segment I contacted a dealer with a GTS 207 in the configuration that I want. I would really appreciate if anyone could chime in on what they believe is a too good to pass up price. GTS 207 w/XL package & 250hp. Many thanks!!!

We have a gts 207 and we love it!! We put over 30 hours on ours this summer with zero issues. It’s to bad they dropped the jet boat line.

Whatever has you smiling when you leave the showroom!

I saw the guys at the boat show last weekend, and it was something that they'd mentioned to me.

Too bad.
