New 2016 Yamaha Jet boat

How is everyone doing been a while since I posted on here. Hope everyone is well..

Wife and I had made our way up from Mansfield to Lewisville to visit some friends and wife says "hey baby you want to stop by phil dill and look at the new 2015/2016 boats." she goes on to say last year she saw some with some upgrades she would like. So I'm all excited thinking I didn't even know this was a option but if the boss wants it everything is a GOOOOOOO.. So we stop by sales lady is excellent as expected. Wife walks right over to the 242xe series and says. Well boys are getting older and liked wake boarding last summer on a friends boat. So I'm thinking where do I sign.. Then the sales lady tells me the price is about $75,000.. Wait a minute when did these boats get that high. I haven't looked at them since 2010 or 2011 but I was shocked. We have a 2010 232 now that's paid off. I leaned over and told the wife last time we purchased you said " this is coming out of your budget" so I casually told her sweetie pick any boat you want but THIS IS COMING OUT OF YOUR BUDGET. None the less we will be adding a wake board tower not a new boat. Our 2010 doesn't have 200 hours on it. I couldn't see starting over with new payments. It was good to see Yamaha did incorporate lots of the idea's you folks have been doing on these boats since forever. What I did really like on the boats was the new dash clusters.

Ha yeah, they are proud of them. I looked around for a while before buying a used '15 242 S, and was shocked at the prices of new boats. Especially other brands. Chaparall's, Cobalts, Malibu, etc...they were all well over 75k!

its a 232 yea my mistake Harley is a 2010 boat is 2008.. I was shocked. If I was going to pay that much might as well go to the 28foot there had right next to it for 100k..

hell I was wrong again it's my damn jets skis that are 2010.. @Julian I'm trying to install speakers on the swim deck now and tower will be doing my self as well.. I'll take pics of tower when it comes in..

Glad to have you back around, those kids must be getting big, unless you just have money to blow you've got a good boat but a tower does add some convenience,

@Scott I yea we are going to keep our current boat. Yea boys are getting big oldest is 14 middle one is 8 now and wife trapped me again had a little girl is who is 2 now.. We will more than likely head up there 3 or 4 times this summer. I'll def send you a message if when we do.. Is Mel still around? Do you fellas still do a texas gathering? Last one I went to was 3 or 4 years ago in Texacoma

Lol.. yea I was curios if they still did that or not. It's been a few years for me since I went.. wouldn't mind coming again now that daughter can handle a day out on the boat.

Last saw you at the Texoma gathering. I'll bet the boys are big now, Kind of got flooded out last year at Texoma and this year it's up again. Was there last weekend and it's red and lots of brush. Not the best conditions for a jet boat. Love to see the tower when done.
