New Guy From SD w/ new jet boat

Hello to all. I am in South Dakota and picking up a 1977 Tahiti tomorrow with a Ford 460. I have had several boats but never a jet boat with an inboard. Any tips on running it, maintaining it, what to look for, any advise would be appreciated. I am assuming this will not be like my Ranger center console in which I can just let of on the throttle and not worry about getting swamped? I will post pics when I get it.

Welcome aboard @ricoinsf. Sounds like an interesting boat. Looking forward to your pics. There is one tip that seems to be pretty generic to jet boats. We call it the reverse maneuver. It's used to clear most debris you may suck up into the jets. You can find it in the FAQ thread under General Discussions.
