New to Yamaha boats. I have a 2021 252S coming some time this spring and this is my first Jet boat. I was trying to find the differences between the 252S and the 252SE and wonder if someone can let me know. Also, anyone who has a 252S from 2020 let me know how you like it. Appreciate it

The 25’ boats are new boats for 2021, the 2020 boats were 24’ and there were no 25’. I don’t know all the differences between 25’ S and SE but I know you can compare them on Yamaha’s website.

Check out my post in this thread from a while back where I bulleted out the differences I was aware of.

Awesome. I put money down on the 252S but I see what your saying about what's another 4K. LOL I should have maybe done more research. I was so worried I would miss out on locking somehting in for 2021. Those are def some great features. I think I am ok with the bimini top not being fixed on there, but I would like the electronic throttle and the push button start. The sales person def led me to believe the upgrades were not a big deal. I think I will be good with it. First dip into the jet boat market so I was def very cautious, but I think I made the right move. Have you had a jet boat previously? Where do you use yours? Salt or Fresh water?

None of the extras on the SE are necessary, just nice to haves. The bimini being fixed on the SE isn't a big deal but the fact that it's larger than the one on the S is nice. If you plan to do any watersports, the cruise control and acceleration controls can also come in handy.

This is my first jet boat, put my deposit down in mid-August when the new 25 foot lineup was first announced and it came in to my dealer mid-September. I'm in NC, primarily fresh water lakes but I'll probably bring it with me to the coast on vacation once in a while.
