One of the most epic noises came from the beloved A-10 Warthog. From 18 to 22 years of age I had the privilege of doing close air support and controlling A-10's and other amazing aircraft on targets in close proximity to troops. Amazing sound you will never forget. The foot soldiers loved that plane as well as the pilots that flew them.

The next best thing was hearing\feeling a cluster bomb dropped.
