I have 2 bunk boards if you ever need to use as an emergency fix. They are 2"x6"x10'.

My bunks were shot and I felt I needed to replace them and my eBay carpet had not arrived yet. So i used 2x non treated material and some spare Home Depot outdoor carpet. Definitely not for long term but in an immediate crunch they will work.

Hopefully you will never need them but if you do they are here.

Nice offer Mike.

Indeed! But this also reminds me: when my bunks went out, it was the bottom two as well. The top two (as yours) looked fine and I put replacing those on the 'someday' list. Is this common, that the bottom ones go but the top ones are fine? Or am I really just skating on thin ice not yet replacing the top ones?

So, I just replaced all 4 this weekend with kiln dried PT lumber and quality carpet I got from eBay. The port side upper bunk was not rotten bad but was soft on the front end just behind the front post. I really meant to try to replace that one before an 1hr long ride Sat morning but ran out of time Fri so I limped it up and tried to miss as many bumps as I could for fear the pressure might break that board. But I made it up there fine and dipped the boat and replaced them all. But the bottom ones were in real bad shape and the reason I had to make the temp switch. I know one of my bottom ones was busted just forward of the rear post. I expect this might have cracked due to an off center load. The other was bending badly between the front and middle post.
