My stern remote is not working and am thinking it got wet and is fried. Before getting another one though, just curious if anyone recognizes these wires? One labeled DC-12V 1 is not connected to anything. The one labeled DC-12V 2 is not connected to anything either. That one though has some couplers on it, but they go nowhere. Wondering if this has anything to do with the remote, should the two wires be connected, etc. ?

Where are these wires? Photo would be helpful (maybe)

Ugh! I’m sorry! Under the console....

For some reason, this pic is not showing up as clearly here as it is on my phone. The red label on the top is the DC-1 and the red label on the bottom is DC-2.

I there a reason the bottom 2 wires are not connected? Those look like the were pulled apart, and daisy chain to provide power (which I've not seen before). The top DC1 wire sure looks like it was cut....or pulled out of the wiring harness that is behind it....???

The thing about the daisy chain idea is that there doesn’t seem to be a connecting wire for the two end couplers. I suppose I can try putting a wire in there and see what happens. You’re right about DC1, it appears to be cut. No exposed wire and I don’t see anything for it to connect to. I’ll try connecting the couplers and let you know what happens. I’m at a loss with the other one. Thanks for giving this some thought.
