Wow. I would figure that if you hit something to do that, you would probably feel it (duh). Or it is a manufacturing defect. Probably out of warranty, but worth a try with the dealer on that first...

Doesn't look like the install would be all that bad, but have never done it. Looks like take off that silver colored part (undo the bolts), then undo the two bolts that hold the bucket. Install the new bucket and then put the silver part back... At least that is what it looks like.

@Samson , please post only in one place. That will let you help you the best, as we can all see what everyone says and build off of that to help. Thanks.

No idea how it happened. Do I just call dealer and order ? Is it a diy repair to put on the new reverse bucket with the metal broken in pics ? Diagram here. It’s a 2015 Glastron GTS 207 rotax jet. Diagram below. Thanks
You need to update your profile - wrong boat info in there.
As for the bucket, I think you're lucky the reverse cable and cam didn't get damaged. I'd say you lost a bolt from the strb side and the pressure ripped it off. I can't see it just snapping clean off, it's pretty sturdy.

Thanks. Yes the bolt came out I bet. Profile updated. Selling the boat after this repair.

Another place to get parts is here. I don't know why you would not be able to do this yourself. I've had the buckets off when I installed my tabs. Wasn't too difficult. Good luck!

Yeah it shouldn't be an issue to replace. Make sure you use blue Loctite to keep the bolts in place.
