Nothing fancy, just a jetboil with 1/4" aluminum plate and a large copper pipe cap with solder in it. Works fast.
That sounds perfect for tinning....Help me out, there a hole in the plate for the copper cap to sit through?

Someone had patched the floorpans at some point, and didn't quite get the seat tracks perfectly square. So, I'm replacing both full pans. And doing a full airride setup. And swapping 4 wheel drum brakes to 4 wheel disc. And powdercoating a bunch of stuff to make pretty. And probably more.

No hole. Just had an idea one day and an old camping mess kit happed to be nearby. I grabbed the small tin cup out of it and the jet jetboil burned right through it. So from there I grabbed the plate and cap when ch I happened to have hanging around at it worked out so I stuck with that ever since. Controlling the heat is real tough so an electric hot plate with fine control that gets hot enough would be great. Switching over to a cleaned and cutoff bean can could work too I just don't want to burn through again.

I didn't get a pic but anyone play the card game Play 9?

I saw this on Christmas Eve. 1999 Seadoo XP with 951 cc 135 hp motor, rebuilt carbs, new battery, cover and trailer. Actually I went with cash in hand and did the compression check described. It was supposed to be an impromptu Christmas gift to myself (I don't always trust Santa because I'm naughty sometimes). Passed because of the bad compression on the first cylinder but may make him an offer if he doesn't sell it after this week. It's been a few years since I've had to rebuild a two stoke engine/experienced the occasional pain of owning a Seadoo and I'm not sure that I want to again but this is a sweet pwc, when it's running. FYI Craig's list ads usually expire after 7 days.

My parents' present to me was a huge canvas picture of our boat. My son insisted on being in the picture, which is normal since he never leaves my side.

Taking a charter bus to squaw valley to do some snowboarding with my son. Got up at 4:15 to meet the bus. This is what I see right now and will for the next 3 to 4 hours.

That could be a steal. Offer a grand and make it a project. Rebuilding a 2 stroke is a breeze.

Did they have the compression in the ad before you went or did they use your numbers? Kudos to them if they posted it initially.
