Finally home (after a cancelled flight) from my first time to Augusta National. Met my dad there for Monday’s practice round. They allow digital cameras for practice rounds (still no cell phones). The cliché adage that it’s impossible to put words to the experience is so true. Unforgettable memories.

Yes, the pimento cheese is awesome. Yes, I spent too much money at the merchandise shop.View attachment 175078View attachment 175079View attachment 175080View attachment 175081View attachment 175082View attachment 175083
Holy golf grounds. As a PGA member we can attend for free :). No cooler place in my book

Not every decision in life is rational, right?
Case in point: buying a... jeep.

Happy Birthday Kate!?

Kid proof=manual transmission...I get it, but sad.

Maple sap season has ended in my neck of the woods. Shut down the vacuum pump and drained the dregs of sap and nitre (sugar sand) from the tanks. Time to pull taps before I lose myself in boating season.

But first, time to play with my new friend, the ruffed grouse again.

He likes to strut. Might have to see if he will come any closer with some cracked corn in my hand.

I saw this while at Tracy motor sports here in CA yesterday (April 9). Sales person quote, “right now if you want a used boat (back to 2015) it will cost the MSRP on this year’s model plus $5k To $7k.

Recession is imminent. People will pull back spending. We already have. New home builds will cool off, existing home sales will drop, jobs will be lost. The correction is right around the corner but it is a needed one.

Finished building my wifes picket fence for her vegetable/ flower transplant garden. Wanted something just to keep the puppy out. Built a nice self closing gate. Just have to put up her work bench shelf. The fence will be painted bright white when it drys out.
Its 2o feet and an angled 16 feet. Took only 2 nights after work.

Service reconditioning fee ? Guess that's oil and plug change.
No clue, reads like a weak attempt to justify charging more for a used boat than it sold for when new three plus years ago. Plus they had to replace the almost $3k set up/dealer prep fee with something. The price is before tax so add another 10% and this boat is close to $50k out the door. Surprisingly they only have a few used boats available, no new ones, all are AR 190s.

That for the cost of the lube, if (and when) someone bends over and pays $43,699 for this 2019 AR190. :D

May as well try. Dude in my neighborhood listed his house for $899k which is way more than any house has ever sold for. I believe he sold it for $759k in a couple days which is still more than any house has sold for. As a reference point he and I have the same model house with slight differences and I built mine for $280k in 2008. You just never know.
