Spent the last day and a half cutting 30 sheets of 2" foam board for the storage room above the garage, although my retirement workdays are only about 5-6 hours long! :p Lots of extra cuts as I only need 6' lengths between the trusses and at $50 a sheet I'm also using the pieces I cut off. The foam comes pre-scored at 16" & 24" inches, neither of which is the right size for between my trusses. Rest of the insulation will be batts.

Saw a bunch of this in Daytona a few years ago. These truck were loud. We were on the 14th floor with windows/doors shut and it still sounded like I was right next to them.

I've got a mess of Amber Jack and Cobia from my last customer fishing trip. It's cleaned, and vacuum packed in my freezer. Thinking about cooking some this weekend. I have to be honest I have never had Cobia. <y internet search seems to have found that pan fried or blackened is the best way to cook this fish. Anyone out there cooked Cobia or had it before? Any suggestions? Pic below is one of the Cobia I caught.

Saw My first Rivian on the road. It’s smaller than I thought it would be. Also some art in Walnut Creek, CA.

I saw a Rivian SUV the other day. Again, smaller than expected. Not sure I’m completely sold on the vehicle designs, but maybe because all I know is gas/diesel’s so the new “fuel efficient” electric designs haven’t set it with me yet.

Not sure on how to prepare the fish, if you read pan fried on the internet, give that a shot. If it’s on the internet, it must be true. Side note, am I counting 4 outboards? 3 visible and one behind you?

That just screams,”steal me” in many parts of NCal. I will try to dig up some pics of boats I’ve taken over the years where the sound systems are worth more than the boat they are installed in and some which made me wonder if all the tower mounted speakers make the boat more likely to capsize during a hard and fast turn.

Well the dogs are having fun anyway. Glad I am not out on the roads while most did not put snow tires on and forgot how to drive in it.

I did manage to cover the boat yesterday.

And chained up the snow plow/log skidder.

so you're not going to shrink wrap the sail boat this year ??

No. the first Winter we did shrink wrap, as I needed to pull portlights and rebed them. It is a great cover when you need to open the boat up. But they are expensive for a 35' boat. The first cover was a great cover job. It even had a zippered door.

The second year at a different marina, the cover was cheesy and not installed correctly and cost a lot of money and frustration...

So the last three covers have been tarps with with water weights to keep it taught. Costs $100 vs $800 a year. And I have not had to hammer out a big block of ice on top of the cover.
