Took me 4 loads in a 24 foot 10k trailer last year. Still haven’t unloaded the last load completely

(I made it more fun by bringing everything to a storage unit for three months)

Went to surprise my wife while she was out of town with her aunt and our older kids. I freshened up the master bath with a new coat of paint and re did the ceiling. New paint is what I cut in around the window and ceiling. She busted me on FaceTime with paint in my hair. There goes my bonus points….

Fixing the water hydrant in the horse barn today. It malfunctioned at last nights feeding. The threaded hex connector/stand-off backed itself off from the threads on the plunger rod below. Seen at the red arrow in pic.

I had to remove the top of the hydrant, screw the extension back on. I probably should have used red locktite, but blue it is.

I hate doing this in 20° temps, but I hate hauling water more. Fixed for the Winter I hope.

I definitely do not want to dig this up to replace it any time soon. This is a piss poor design and I donot recommend the brand. Why the 2-piece plunger rod? This was not the first time in it's 5 years of service.
