Was near the dealer so I stopped by to say hi, I got up in a sx 240 figured its the closest to my current boat. It was nice but I thought the extra room was more in the bow area then in the cabin. Can you 240 owners confirm this?

I went from a 190 to a 240 so there is more room all around for me. Not sure from a 21'.

Someone posted an overhead comparison highlighting the amount of space that was different between models. I'm still searching for it (slow day at work :)) so I will link it here when I find it...

I have been in another members ss and I have a 2011 sx240 and for the most part the difference did appear to be in the bow area. The ss seemed just as roomy behind the windshield to me as the 240 if there is a difference back there I don't think its much

I went from a 2009 AR210 to a 2016 242 LSE, and I agree that the increased space is more in the bow, I think mostly due to the co-captain's chair, where my 210 had full J-seating. I really don't feel I get more people into the cabin than before, although i think there is a little more "butt" room :).

As to the competition, I drove a 243VRX, and that thing was massive inside the cabin, as well as the bow. It felt like a slightly longer boat overall, but definitely had less room on the stern, so it's give and take :).

The bow size between my 2005 SX230 and the 242X is HUGE! But you are correct, if you look at the above the cockpit size doesn't change much. They do get better with each new model finding that extra unused space!

I think it is mostly the bow too. I can watch videos with a 210 and see legs over the front bow and a 240 legs not over. Cockpit stays roughly the same IMO.

Well here's a 2015 comparison I mocked up from the brochure I found online. All the red lines are the same for the bow and the cockpit between all three sizes.

This should be really close since there really wasn't any changes between the 2013 and 2016 21's, next would be to get the 2016 in there for the 24'. But I don't think the dimensions changed much if at all, right @Julian?

Does this help?

This is the last one I published...I may play with it today to add a 2015 if I can find an overhead view:

I just posted one that was in the same thread as your picture that has a 2015 in it.

So as I felt while I was in it, Im not really gaining much cabin space by going to the 24. makes it hard to justify a move.

Tough to gauge by eye ball measurements. All I know is that I took 8 adults out recently and it was totally comfortable. We probably could have added another couple. We also had 3 coolers and all of our guests towel bags, blah, blah. The sucker still got up to around 42 mph and provided enough acceleration force to almost throw a couple of the men out of their seats. :) I guess the other thing to consider is some of the features that they have added to the new models from the older ones.
