That is a wrap. Seats cleaned and treated. Every piece of gelcoat has 2 coats of beadlock pro marine ceramic coating from shine supply. Glad to have this done. Just crammed 40 hours worth of work into about 25-30 hours. Neighbor was over the moon over it. Being next door he was able to see just how much work and equipment goes into these jobs. 20201128_145520.jpg20201128_145528.jpg20201128_145530.jpg20201128_145540.jpg20201128_145548.jpg20201128_145554.jpg20201128_150130.jpg20201128_150138.jpg20201128_150200.jpg20201128_150228.jpg20201128_150241.jpg20201128_150312.jpg20201128_150324.jpg20201128_150347.jpg20201128_150357.jpg20201128_150704.jpg20201128_150709.jpg20201128_150713.jpg20201128_150715.jpg20201128_150847.jpg20201128_150937.jpg20201128_150948.jpg20201128_151157.jpg20201128_154101.jpg20201128_134656.jpg

Incredible! Man, you have some mad skills.
Makes me feel inadequate, lol.
Thanks for posting. It is inspirational.

@suke , that makes me hungry. So d@mn clean you could eat off of it. Impressive.

dropped off to install new cylinder head after months of waiting.

Fingers crossed I eliminate milky oil like [HASH=3752]#swatski[/HASH] went through.
Engine only had 148 hrs when I bought it
Did the head come right from Japan? Was it pricey?

The head assembly, which is what they call the part, comes from Japan and is about $3.5k; it is wait-listed even for in-network Yamaha dealers, or at least that was the case when I had it done earlier this year - waited about 3-4 months.

Today, I activated my patent-pending "Swatski-Style One-Step Winterization Sequence"

My boat is always in use, as long as waterways don't freeze, but since I won't be able to go anywhere for at least a week I figured it's time to "winterize", lol.

Here is my one step winterization sequence:
(well, it really is three (3) step process, come to think of it ***)
  1. Pull out the trusty Pali engine heater (set to auto-activate below 40deg) from summer storage.
  2. Place the Pali at the bottom of the engine compartment.
  3. Plug-in the Pali.
Done.

See you in a week, my Dear Yammie.

Oh, one more thing, they have to share the electric with onboard charger:

(*** Please note, SaltAway, wash, dry, block off the trailer, CRC 656 the shit out of everything performed separately, NOT included in the winterization sequence)
:p

Wait.

Patent Pending?

Sheesh. Why don't you use it on your own boat?

:)

Todays day off work found me going over to storage, jacking up boat trailet and setting on blocks. Removed the stock Carlise C rated Bias tires and had them replaced with Good Year D rated Endurance tires. Much better and Peace of Mind. Bought them on Black Friday and the deals were for a set of four. At two tires I pleaded my case and got a good deal. Re installed them, lowered and torqued nuts, then raised and left on blocks.

You will love how smooth it will tow now. Much lower rolling resistance with the radials, and less shaking. I actually insist on balancing mine, but that maybe overkill.

After some procrastination I finally got a gallon of Corrosion-X on recommendation of @Elliott and others here.
It's expensive enough I'll likely use it on the steering linkages and in the engine bay and bilge, probably only sporadically on the trailer, then continue with the CRC 6-56 routine otherwise after each outing.
I also got a very nice Husqvarna rustproofing sprayer that should help reach into all the corners, I figured - might as well.

Dropped mine off at the dealer for some warranty work. Got some gelcoat blisters, foam falling down in the engine bay, engine hatching rubbing on one side, some delamination in one of the storage bins on a corner, and the hinge pin on the window coming out. Honestly none a really big deal, but figured I'd get them addressed during the off season.

This is the biggest one aside from the storage locker delamination issue.

I recieved my NEW COBRA Super Ultimate A.K.- 19 Steering System today. Reviewed youtube video along with the instructions, gathered my tools and loctite and headed to the storage building. Installed it in 30 minutes taking time making sure I was doing exactly as instructions stated. This UPGRADE for me is A MUST HAVE. Next boat outing will seal the deal. I did communicate with Jeff and believe me when i say he is a super guy. Cares about his product being installed correctly, will follow up on any questions you might have and will answer his phone. Don't just hang up if you get his answering machine, leave a message he WILL get right back to you.

Installed my lights finally. Went with the SeaBlaze Mini. Also replaced the OEM courtesy lights with some blue LED. The video makes the lights seem purple, but they’re deep blue and look great!

While I was at it I sealed the rear inspection hatch and no more water issues in the bilge (finally)!
