The official "What did you do to your jet boat today" thread.

I looked longingly at mine parked in the garage while we had the weirdest mid-summer weather I've ever seen here erase the appeal of going boating on a rare day off. Oh well. Saturday awaits!

I put a few coats of Rain-X on the windshield.

Got caught in a downpour last weekend!

Dropped her off at south valley motorsports to get my new high altitude pitch impellers installed. Also my new air filters should be delivering soon... if anyone wants some pretty much brand new air filters let me know.

@sysinu Once the air filters are install is it possible to take pictures and do a review on them?

@Helipilot11 I'll ask the executive princess if she'll let me change them out on the water so I can review the before and after. I'm replacing the stock cloth based air filters for a less restrictive backfire protection air filter. Both fit in the OEM waterproof box (which was a huge selling point for me). If I don't get a before/after I'm afraid it won't be of much meaning besides the pictures of the filter itself (which of course I will provide).

Stabbed my self with a knife while trying to cut a zip-tie to repair the damage from sucking up a rope. opps. One ER bill and a couple stitches and the boat is still broken.
What did you do to the boat? Sorry about the wound!

Man, that's a tough one for the finger man to walk off!

@captainhook how did you manage getting around all of those boats out there? There are a TON!!! ;)

No joke!!! Wide open......

Building a subwoofer enclosure...not your everyday box!

I finally moved my 10" free-air sub into a sealed enclosure cause I was so disappointed with it. and MAN I TELL YOU WHAT!!! a huge difference without adjusting anything on the amp at all. Now I have to cover the 8" hole in the side of my console, but I'll figure something out. I could not be happier with the sub now! Wished I did it months ago.

Free air SUCKS!!!

Free air SUCKS!!!
I feel obligated to say that I have a free air sub. I initially had it mounted in an enclosure. It performed well in the enclosure. Then, with time, I mounted the sub how it was intended - in a free air position. The sub in its free air position sounded 2-3 times better than when it was in the enclosure.

To each their own. I just wanted to let whoever is reading this to know that there are happy free air sub'ers out there. :)

I put new bunks on the trailer last night. Cam.

I did that a few weeks ago Cam. It went pretty smooth. Easier than I thought it would be. Same case as in yours?

Picked it up from the shop. Getting reading for a day O' tubing tomorrow.
