The world's fastest ship is a jetboat

Very cool....

50 kts, I'm sure there are faster. I think even the LCS battle ships do almost that rate of speed.

The video says 58 knots. The 8 knot difference "probably" puts it over the top. Especially for a civilian craft.
The different LCS designs all "reportedly" top out at 50 kts. They are required to do a minimum 40 kts sprint, but I doubt that the Navy spills all the beans when it comes to just how fast their vessels can go.

Either way -- this InCat is a crazy fast jet boat that can carry 150 cars.

Cool, but as quoted "I thought Bruce Jenner was the worlds fastest fairy" :D, not me, honestly, I just quoted….:p.

Looks like a bigger, badder version of this same concept that has been crossing Lake Michigan for years. It is a fun ride.

Note: The ride is beautiful when the weather is reasonable. I have heard, although never experienced it personally, that this beast is a puke factory when the waves are up above a certain level, approx 8+ feet. They will still run even in 10+ foot seas. They have cancelled a few times when the waves start topping, say, 15 feet. Key phrase: "The ship can take it but the passengers can't."
