I have a 2013 242 Limited S in black w/ Thrust Vectors I purchased in 2014 with 5 years of YES Warranty and the boat has approx. 55 hours on it. It has been dealer serviced and only used in fresh water lake. I am considering selling my boat to purchase an new one, so could someone help me with value on it? Thank you for your help!

I am looking at selling myself. I have read on here that you get shorted pretty bad trading in. I am open to both though!

Just did a quick search on the boat selling sites.....it looks like private sellers are asking around $44K and dealers are are a little higher. Tough to do apples to apples based on # of hours, geography, etc.

I just bought a new 2016 model, but I looked at several 2013 and 2014 models. With all of the new enhancements in 2015 and 2016, it was very difficult to look at any models from previous years. Even though the boats were really nice and in great shape. So you may have to negotiate a smidge if the buyer has done his/her research.

Good luck!!

Thanks for the input Devildog! I think the extended warranty, condition and low hours should help sell the boat!

One way is to look up the NADA pricing for your boat.....this is linked in the FAQ, 4th from the bottom of the General List:

https://jetboaters.net/faq/how-can-i-look-up-the-nada-price-of-my-yamaha.92/

When you fill in the options, be sure you only add options that were NOT included from the factory.

When pull up your boat I get $45,805 average retail with no options listed.

Yup. Totally agree that these features will help separate your boat from others. Especially the warranty. It is always nice to have some good elk steaks in your back pocket when negotiating.
