I have a new 212x and today while on the lake got a voltage warning alarm, voltage on both meters showed as high as 20.3 volts. Boat has less than 10 hours on it and I was wondering if this anything anyone has had before.

Yikes- If the the readings are right that could be damage electrical components and could even leave you stranded on the water. Could be a bad regulator/rectifier within one of the stators. I would take that to the dealer before using it again.

Good Luck

That's the plan, just sucks, buy a brand new boat and first time out have an issue then it goes to the shop for who know how long

Didn't know the 212X had voltage meters....are they in the gauges?

I think all the multi/tach displays have them. My 2012 SX190 had it.

@Lrfd jet boater - I am assuming that you got 20 volts with the eninges running. If you were getting 20 volts at idle that is very dangerous for the electronics as that indicates a bad rectifier (part that converts the ac current from the stator to dc current). In modern stators the regulator and rectifier are one component built into the stator assembly but the rectifier portion going bad is worse than the regulator portion going bad in many cases where sensitive electronics are involved. Also less than good for the batteries if they we getting an improper sine wave.

It sucks but at least the needed part is fairly common.
