What's that noise?

You can hear it much better in this video. But please tell me if I'm just going crazy because its been a minute since I turned the boat on and I'm just paranoid.

Is it possible at all that the noise was because of low lubrication? Meaning the boat hasn't ran in a few months so oil just needed to be moved around. I just ran the boat on the hose for a bit to get the oil moving in the engine. The noise has seemed to disappear.

@FSH 210 Sport you do? I opened the cover up and it sounded normal. Meaning no noise. I'm going to let the engine cool down a bit and try again to see what happens.

Yup 17 and 18 usually gets replaced. You have to remove front cover and then use a puller to remove the parts in front of it

You might be hearing the s/c clutch(similar design) still spinning for a few seconds

Just started my svho FZS and it does the same thing after i stop the engine. Its hard to hear on my ski cause as soon as the engine is shut off the bilge pump runs for a bit.
Dont put a starter in it, its most likely the s/c spinning a bit after its off

What its doing is the same thing it does when you abruptly let off the gas, it feewheels. This is why we recommend a blow off valve to extend the life of the s/c sprag/clutch. It cushions the abrupt on and off the gas. But nothing to worry about when you turn off the engine.

@Neutron you think my issue is lubrication? Is that even possible?

As long as your oil level is correct its getting lubed
