I have read a few threads about wiring LED's to cup holders. I purchased some blue LED's from Oznium.com and I have the wire to run around the boat and hook up all of the LED's. I have an idea already how to attach them to the interior of the cup holders etc. My question is with how to hook them up to the courtesy lights?
I am not very literate when it comes to wiring so this will sound stupid to some people. But the courtesy light should have a red and black wire coming from the harness I would assume (i looked up there but couldn't see and I haven't taken the panel off yet.) So do I just take my wire and attach the wire to the red and black wires of the courtesy light switch and then just run it all around the boat?

I wired my LEDs into their own switch. Not sure how the courtesy light switch is wired....there might be a negative ground "bus" that the lights are wired directly to, and the switch might only have the positive wires.....

I'm sure one members here has tapped it.....

I expanded on the title so people know you have a question....
