People make that trip with 27ft Center Consoles so I believe it would be doable. I don't know about other islands though. Not that great of MPG for the 275. Be safe. Make sure you have a quarantine flag and other documentation.
I average 1.5mpg on mine. I typically cruise at 6k. I have had mine in the ocean. No issues and its a far better ride than my 232. When i was out last it was prob 3ft seas and i was moving at about 18-19mph. For your trip of course it depends on how calm it is on the day you do the trip.
Bimini no issues at all. We have a whole group going to bimini June 26/27 - July 2nd. We have at least one main trip every year! I've been 3 times on my 242X. Islands further out....take more planning.
if your not going in a group i would make sure you have a spare inflatable life boat just in case ... imagine your depth finder cap bust open or something .. down she goes ! ...
