Yamaha announces new engine!!!

Everyone keeps speculating what the new section of the Yamaha plant in Tennessee is I'm now wondering if this is where they plan to build this engine.

The good 425 hp, the bad 1000lbs.

5 fuel pumps, up to 2900psi.... wow

This is just silly. The fuel bill with quad 425 NO thank you. I’m sure it’s fun though.

If you can afford a few of those engines on a large boat, fuel prices are not an issue

Wrong. The 4.2L V6 weighs just under 600 lbs. A 5.6L V8 does not weigh 66% more.
Yeah, a V8 has more holes in it than a V6 so obviously it's lighter :wacky: :wideyed::winkingthumbsup"

If you can afford a boat that will take Quad 425s, paying for gas is not a concern!

I'm not a huge fan of very high pressure injection systems, because by design, it takes more work and more presission to achieve. I hope they nail the reliability factor and prove me wrong.

you got to stop man. I am on the floor lauching for 5 minutes and my wife will be sending you a bill if I have a heart attack from not being able to breath

Pretty good power out of a N/A 5.6. Still needs a supercharger though. [flag]

Bet the first place I will see one of these in person is on a bass boat but only if it is docked, otherwise just a blur.

Ha what about this?? Saw this on Facebook today. Someone took pic on 285 in Atlanta.

Thats just ridiculous

Almost looks fake doesn’t it? Surely it isn’t going to Lake Lanier. Wouldn’t surprise me though
