Hi ,
I recently purchased a 2005 Yamaha AR210. Took it out and clearly needs a look over. One engine running very rough , very little power, loud and smoky. Looking for someone in the Springfield, MA area who will work on marine 2 stroke engines. There is also a crack in the jet pump housing.

Have you looked for Yamaha boat dealers in your area? What I would do is look for one then search the forum for any posts about them. I also added the location you seek this in to your thread title as that might get you some feedback from locals.

@John Bowers. G&R Marine in south Windsor CT is the best yamaha dealer in the area. Try them. May be pricey because it's a dealer but they know what they are doing.

I bought my 2014 212x from G&R in South Windsor and had an excellent experience. Very knowledgeable and fair. Though I've never used their service department as I do all my own maintenance.

You can try twin city marina in RI they seem very fairly

It you are even slightly mechanically inclined, I'd change the plugs and oil/filter before I took it to the dealer. Plugs are the #1 culprit on these engines.

Thank you all ...I tried both dealers and they won’t work on 2 stroke engines. I see a crack on one of the jet units. See attached. This is also married to the problem engine.
