They should be fairly fine scratches creating a haze. Polish by hand should do the trick, unless you want to break out the buffer and do the whole boat.....I find that if I start off doing it by hand I can match the rest of the hull better and blend it. That way I'm not stuck doing a large area just to blend in a spot.Is the only way to get rid of the dull spots with a buffer and some sort of "buffing compound"? Curious as I have a couple of spots like that..... @Glassman ?
If it's bad you can hit it w 3M marine rubbing compound, otherwise I use what's handy...~ Finesse-It, Meguiar's, Flitz, I'm not picky. I've used toothpaste quite often too (paste type)Polish by hand with? @Glassman Don't tell me....Gel coat polish?
