I hope we can make it . We are doing the millwork on a boutique hotel in downtown Springfield. They have decided it has to be completed for a wedding on June 19th (There is still drywall work to be done in places). I'm going to do my best to make it down to the Rock though.
@Woodchuck .... this may be a stupid question but do you do kitchen and bath remodels? The wife wants to remodel the bathroom and kitchen and we'll be looking for ideas.
We need a few weeks of 80's to get the temp up some. Made the mistake one year to dare my nephew into jumping in the lake on Memorial weekend...you all know the end to this story! Yep, he jumped in no questions asked. I took everything out of my pockets and followed suit. It was damn cold too!!
Getting closer and have a question. What is everyone planning on for the evening meals? Cooking / Eating on your own? Going out to eat? I assume breakfast and lunch will be much like Shelbyville (Plan on your 0wn), We do not want to pack excess food for diner meals only to find out everyone is going out to eat.

I hadn't really thought about it. We could plan on using one of the evenings to grill out and do a pot luck type meal. There is a Walmart not too far away in Branson West so I wasn't planning to bring too much with us.
Our #'s may change from two to five. May have a couple with daughter coming up from Greers Ferry Arkansas. Will not know for sure until 2 June. He will be getting a cast off and x-ray to determine if he needs surgery on his hand.
I think we are going to start a Facebook private message about this. So look for it soon. I know there has been talk of grilling and such for everyone at the resort.
I fell in helping some in-laws launch a floating picnic table and it wasn't too bad, but I was wearing my boots and jeans. Got my feet in today helping my father in law load his bass boat and it was a bit brisk on my feet. Hopefully it warms up quickly.
This may be the first Memorial Day in a long time that I didn't get in the water at least once. But the lake still seem pretty active despite the rain. Can't wait to meet everyone!!
So there is a Web site I just found called watertemperature.net that says Table Rock is at 82 degrees. Sounded a little high to me so I looked up Kentucky Lake where I was over the weekend and is says 77 degrees there. It was actually 75 on Saturday and Sunday so it's not too far off. Keeping my fingers crossed!
I am so ready for this trip!!! I need a vacation. Very busy from now until the time that we head out for this trip. Weekends are already planned for with business and partial business. I hope that I don't have to work overtime for the real job either because jobs are starting to pile up on my desk to design. That can make things tend to mess up. UGGHHHH!!! I haven't even been in the water to surf yet!
