I got my boat back from the dealer after the 10 hour service. I always check the engine compartment before and after every use and noticed a screen lying next to the bilge after our run today. Any ideas what this is and where it should go?

Looks like it might be the screen for the bottom of your bilge pump....try unclipping it to see if it is missing its screen.

Thanks for the quick response. I will check it tomorrow. Not sure why the bildge screen would get displaced like that by the dealer.

They might've just been checking to make sure the bilge pump was clear of debris & properly and forgot to reinstall it.

A good dealer as part of the annual service will remove the pump and clean the screen. It is also possible that the screen was never in place from day one and it only now slide out from where ever it was to be seen.

There is a screen present in the bilge pump that is very similar so it looks like the screen was changed by the dealer. The one currently in the bilge has a red rubber piece that is missing from the mystery screen.

Guess that's your backup screen now.
