Clearwater/Egmont Key/Anclote Key

What are the rules for camping out there?

That place looks amazing. Where exactly is that amazing sandbar? Is it near the shell key preserve?

I also see a bunch of Orlando peeps on here. I need to meet up with some of you guys one of these days. We normally frequent the following: Lake Conway, Lake Butler, Disappearing Island (Ponce Inlet), Cocoa, Silver Glen, and some other local lakes.

@jpass there's a group of us that hang out all the time. U should come out one day. .

Sure, just let me know when and where. Saturday's are usually better for me.

We are going out this Sunday i think.

Don't think I can make this one. Had some issues with the boat last weekend that I am trying to fix first. If I get it done on Saturday I might try and test it out on Sunday but locally I think.

This weekend isn't good for me, but maybe next time.

Thanks for the heads up.

I think I'm going to the silver Glen weekend

Today was perfect out there.. Seminole ramp was closed because they had offshore powerboat racers launching their with the crane.

But someone with a new 242 2016 needs to learn some manners down there.. Speeding thru slow zones then driving straight towards me today full speed while i was stopped outside the channel.

There's always someone out there being a douche.

So how long does it actually take to get from Orlando to the ramp you use on the West coast? Hour and a half or so? Which ramps do you prefer? I've only been out there once and it was in someone else's boat, so I don't recall where we launched.

Hey all, we were out at Anclote Wednesday and it was beautiful. Unfortunately we had a lot going on at the homefront so we didn't get out on the water this weekend but would love to meet up with some people in the future if anyone's doing this again.

We're new to the forum and jet boating but we already spotted a few yami's out there so far and would love to get acquainted.

...and for cheap entertainment you can watch my wife and I trying to launch from Anclote Park... the laughs will be worth the $5 parking pass lol.

We will camping at Anclote Oct 21-22.
One or both days...

The struggle at Anclote Park Boat Ramp IS REAL !!
That current sucks, especially with a larger boat.

I'll be camping out the weekend prior for Saturday night.
