Raleigh/durham end of summer / fall gathering

Hmmmm. I am thinking I may be inn for this gathering. It looks like I may be getting stationed overseas so this would be my last hurrah with the boat and would be nice to meet some other Jetboaters. Are the hotels close by pretty safe to park a boat in the parking lot overnight. Will be coming from VA Beach on Friday night and staying for the weekend.

There are hotels in wake forest... but coming from the north there may be better places to stay that I am not aware of. We would love to have u...

Actually looking on map quest the quickest route would be down interstate 95 and onto 64 west. If u stay in wake forest area u are about 10 min from the launch... there is a sleep inn with not a lot of parking... a Hampton Inn that has an overflow parking that's good for a boat trailer and a county suits that has plenty of parking.. pm me if u need anything more.

Thanks for the info. I think I will am going to book a room for the Hampton Inn. Is the lake good for wake boarding? My kids have really been into that lately and trying to see what to bring.

Thanks for the quick reply. Definitely going to be coming. Not sure if my wife will make it though since we have been on the on the road the last 2 weekends traveling around to different fresh water lakes. Would love to check our your boat with the Jls that you purchase from me.

Tomorrow is the day.... we will be at the hwy 50 ramp at 1030...... ish for anyone who wants to follow to the cove. It's pretty easy. Just don't cut the corner where u turn into the big portion of the lake... it gets shallow there!

The cove where we will be has a nice shallow beach....I was considering bringing out a volleyball net and/or baggo/cornhole boards....

Anyone interested in either of those?

And how about a roll call of kids....my 11 year old daughter will be there after noon....

My son 14, and daughters 12 and 8 will be there. We have friends that will have 3 and 4 year Olds with us.

Well I had something come up for work that forced a trip to Charllotte today. I thought I was going to make it back to the beach in plenty of time to turn around and make it up for this but that has not worked out. I hope you guys have fun tomorrow and it sucks we won't make it but def next time.
