Ok everyone we need to figure out how to fill the ballast bags completely full. When the connext system says it is full they are only about 75% full. I think this will greatly help out the 242x in surfing. I had my boat full today with a 750 bag on the surf side seat and a 540 on the swim deck, 100% locker, 100% port, 50% starboard, this did make a good wave but we are spoiled with our last boat.

I've never played with it, but in the sys control menu in the Connext system, there is a ballast screen where I'm pretty sure you can adjust the settings.
Nice I will look at that tomorrow.

I've read somewhere here that filling one bag at the time may help with the Connext system? (to fill to capacity, otherwise it does not work)
I don't have that issue but I think the keeled hull is a bit of a challenge in general. Hope you can figure this out.

Yes factory bags full. The ski compartment we find if we fill it alone first it gets full. If we hit fill all it only gets 75% full. You can go into system and manually fill. Then when full. Click on save. Hard to explain.

One engine has to be running to go through the calibration process of each bag. I did it last year, basically you are running/setting a timer until the bag is full or the max time allowed is reached on each bag. Seemed to help mine last year when I maxed the fill time allowed for each bag then fill one bag at a time instead of fill all. The system works off of a set timer so due to the physical constraints of the single source hose supplying 3 pumps You can fill one bag at a time more so than all three at once. Hope this helps...

Yeah I did that but they still have a ton of room left to fill, I want to increase the timer.

Did you ever figure out a way to get the bag more than about the 75% that is actually in them when they say 100%?

Try filling one bag at a time. When the system fills 2 bags at a time the single intake is insufficient to supply enough volume for the set time.
To increase the timers hold the control/system button for 2 seconds util the system diagnostics screen comes up. Now one of the new tabs in the diagram screen is where you can calibrate each bag . It will empty first then tell it to fill that same bag. Let it run until the timer expires then hit save. Repeat for each bag one bag at a time. Oh and at least one engine must be running. Hope this helps.

for the 12.3" Context there is a Yamaha "code" that must be entered to change the fill time. I don't have it yet but plan to get it this week.

Where does one acquire a magical code like this?

I think the code gives you different options for the connext screen depending on which boat it is installed on. It doesn't allow you to adjust fill timers. It doesn't on our boats ( 2016-2107 ) anyways.

I think it only works for 12.3” software

OK, so here's the deal on calibrating the ballast for the 12.3" Connext. You have to press the "gear" icon also now as system settings and hold for more than 3 seconds. This brings up the diagnostic menu. From there you will select "pump controller". This will bring up a menu to fill and calibrate each bag. The problem I still see is that I think you have to do this 1 at a time which will be a different time than if you filled them all at the same time. I have attached pics.

There's no code for the 12.3"...I was told incorrectly by Wake Masters. You just press and hold the settings "gear" icon for 3 seconds and a diagnostic menu comes up. See my post below. This is on a 12.3" Connext

I've got the 2017 model so it won't apply to mine.

We have a very similar calibration screen on our 2017 boats - just hold the Sys Ctrl hard button for 3 sec and its under one of the tabs. But as was pointed out earlier in this thread, the problem is that there is a max time and if max time isn't enough for you then your SOL anyway.

I've been through that screen multiple times. The port side bag just won't fill all the way.
