Take pictures... Be sure you send them to momma Yamma, too. Unacceptable. Rather than schlepping a distance back for a cleaning, I would ask for my $500 back and clean the thing myself. That way I would know it was done right. After the pics, of course.

Do hope you can quickly move past that, though. Great craft and you will enjoy the heck out of it. Congratulations!

My Yamaha was given to me from my dealer somewhat clean but had grease spots in the vinyl and scuff marks from their shoes. Boat was practically on fumes when given to me.

My new Moomba was a totally different experience. It gets detailed twice at the factory, then got detailed again at the dealer once they installed some things and prepped the boat. They had their shoes off and protective padding on the floors. No fiberglass strands, dust or strings laying in the compartments or spare fasteners. They also filled her up for me (65 gallons worth)! Couldn't be happier with how they delivered compared to my Yamaha.
I knew we were going to hear about the Moomba! lol

I can assure you majority of Yamaha's are prepped and delivered just like your Moomba. And I assure you some Moomba's have been delivered dirty.

I will be sure to post how perfect my delivery goes this coming Monday on our new Yamaha - Clean and full of gas.

I will try to post pictures of the boat, I did get charge of $500 of Prep fee! They def didnt clean anything to be honest, the mats were still in the plastic, the boat had shoe marks on it, dirt and debris very noticeable by the seats. The boat supposedly covered, i got a cover with the boat which was ripped and taped together. I bought it from a dealer
My boat prep fee was $1500. That included 2 batteries and install of them, full test of every function, trailer assembly(they come with the wheels off), full detail, full tank of gas, and a 2 hour detailed walk through of the boat on the water. Now how a dealer breaks down his fees is variable.....its all about what the buyer thinks is reasonable, and where he wants to "hide" his costs and profit margin. But if you've totally screwed your dealer and he is making no profit, he's less likely to spend the time on delivery. (in my case my dealer made no money-as in Zero - so I was ok with him making some profit from the set up fee).

I should mentioned when we bought our previous Moomba (since sold) in 2009, during the test ride with the Moomba dealer the engine started to overheat. The impeller was junk..wasn't full of gas and a bit dirty.

Well I mentioned the Moomba because it is a direct comparison to the topic being discussed and how my AR192 came and how my Yamaha dealer treated the overall deal. What does it matter anyways? Didn’t mention to #trigger you lol....

If you would look around on this forum you will see there are threads and posts with members who had spare washers, bolts, nuts, you name it being found in their storage compartments and bilge “surprises”. There are also members who received boats with fiberglass strands in the storage compartments and just an overall unfinished/not detailed appearance. My boat came this way as well and I’m sure you’ll see it too once you start digging around your new Yamaha. This is NOT from the dealer but rather the manufacturer....

Oh yeah....it is kind of like a right of passage into the Yamaha world. Vacuum out the drain plug port of all of the fiberglass crap....LOL

Along with the silicone exhaust ring “birthing” a few rides into the new boat :D. Never get tired of the “wtf is this thing that’s hanging out of my exhaust???” posts! :D

Park Marine here as well. Cleaned but not spotless. Good enough for me. Full tank of gas. Did the dealer charge you a prep fee? If so, raise hell!
Mine was a 2017 resale and Park Marine cleaned it spotless. Those guys are great.

Mine was being all washed up and cleaned when I got there. By the time we finished the paperwork and the walk-through it sparkled.

Fuel in the tank...not so much, but I didn't expect that anyway...and glad it only had a few gallons in it as I had a 200 mile tow between he dealer lot, home, and the first splashed lake.

Your boat should've been cleaned - travesty that it wasn't - for what we pay for these things they should just about give you the big 'O' when you sit in the seats!

Picked up our new 2019 242x about 30 days ago, clean full of gas.

Conducted walk thru on the dry (after lake run) It had .4 hours, on both engines. (everyone took shoes off for walk thru)

After walk thru, dealer took bimini top off, put on travel cover for my 4 hour trip home.

Great experience! (Sadly - i'm still waiting on the 'Big O')
