I've heard that the best way to combat the addiction is to mix one part quality tequila, a half part Cointreau, two parts lime juice, some sugar, and shake. Pour into a glass with a salted rim.
All this MUST be done after setting the anchor, though, and if you are on rough seas, use a glass with a lid.
