Not as exciting as @itsdgm ‘s experience but I recently visited a bike shop to get some parts and saw this bike with a single arm “Fork?” instead of conventional forks with two arms. This was new to me.

I’m looking forward to getting some on boat / waverunner footage with the 360 camera. For those that haven’t seen a 360 camera before there is a lens on the front and back of the camera body.

Very few seem to be made this way Cannondale has been one whose been building single fork bikes for 20+ years actually. I used to lust after them in the bike shop in my high school days. 1 fork = less weight. They can be pretty expensive bikes, $12k+

These 2 always have the best looks!

This is what I saw as I entered my local Costco tonight, possibly driven by the pending implementation of a new three week stay at home order that is supposed to start this weekend. For those that don’t know, KS is short for Kirkland Signature, Costco’s house brand.

Our youngest is becoming a pretty good rider.
She's getting ready to compete next season.
And, she wants her own horse.
One of those two things might happen, lol.

What type of riding ?

Do you currently rent a horse for her to ride?

It's Western style riding although she can ride English too, I think, and the competition style is "rodeo", I think. I can find out more from her tomorrow. Basically, she works at an equestrian center and police stables without pay, they let them "hack"; on top of it she gets lessons we pay for. She seems to really love it so we support it, best we can.

Scott already asked one of my questions. I was surprised when you said western and not english, but I saw the western saddle. In english, they compete in dressage, jumping, eventing etc. In western, I don't think she will be doing rodeo. More like western dressage, reighning, cutting. I dont think she looks like a barrel racer or a roper.

One of our horses came from quarterhorse cutting champion lines "Short Oak" from Flower mound, Tx., years ago. She is a great horse and was trained well above my equine skill set. Our Gypsy is just a pasture queen. Started her off long reighning and then driving.

As in boat ownership...Horses, anything equestrian, has it's own absurd markup. We try to stay out of tack shops as much as possible. Horse ownership is not cheap, even if you keep them in the back yard. The cost/rental of the horse, the board, farrier, vet, transportation, all the gear and dress for competition.

I would say she looks great being an equestrian. Good on you for giving her the opportunity. In Willow's (my wife) case, she came from a 7 generation ranch on the island of Hawaii, it was the largest privately owned cattle ranch in the US. She has a few things left to remind her of Parker Ranch. One of them is this ceremonial saddle that belonged to her greatgrandfather. It was made and hand tooled in Hawaii in 1912.
Now just a conversation piece in the living room. Pretty sure it will go here, per her last will.

In this link above, the "more than beef" article mentions a dairy. That history sent us into our oun dairy/cheese/yogurt operation. Here are some rare milk bottles that have been passed down and kept in the family.

“Winterizing” the boat with my wife at the end of the season with a bit of Kenny and margaritas involved.

I’m down with it, good (driveway) boating.

Hell if my wife didn't score some TP at Sams Club today I was going to have to put my new Xbox Series X on Craigslist as a trade for TP.

With nowhere to go out, every weekend night at Swatskis' is... a karaoke night.
Help! lol
