Well, I should talk over my plans with the wife before I post them   "That's going to be a PITA for you to keep dealing with it, and you'll need way more ice than we have room for in all our coolers. We'll just do premade's if you want margaritas". I know she's right, but I don't like it 🤣

So...whatever fits in a cooler for me. If we're having a fire, I can make a few pitchers if there's interest.

I have a small inverter (350 watt) or else my Honda 2000 suitcase generator I could easily store in my ski locker if needed. Just let me know if you think we’ll still need it. Is there any certain food we should bring for Saturday? Gotta get my shopping list done.
You can skip the power, I really need @zipper 's Dometic, maybe gotta take a trip and sneak it out the back door! 😁

The wife says "finger foods, fruit or vegetables, cookies, other chips not used for walking tacos...stuff like that". This is for anyone asking, not all on your shoulders.

Good luck with that...lol. I had to remove parts of the boat and the cooler to put it in the "storage shed", aft cabin, and put it all back together. It will take a while unless you bring your chainsaw. And I do have cameras. LOL Once you get a Dometic, you will want a Ninja too, but you will need more than 2kw with the ninja.

My girlfriend is a south side (Milwaukee) Polish girl so we will probably bring more food than the group can eat - just gotta figure out where to store it. :)

To get to the back door you have to get by the trained attack guard bird that is stationed at the boat, lol. He is hard at work this morning and the spiders are on the run.

Ooh, I hate those little bastards! They chase away finches, cardinals and woodpeckers from our feeders up north.

I'm trying to figure out a way to give me a shooting spot on the porch that keeps the bugs out, since they scatter the second the door opens.

In addition to chasing away birds I want around, they make a horrible mess, often dumping much of the feeders on the ground whenever possible. I'll make short work of your guard with my handy badminton racket. I don't know what caliber it is, but it's deadly at close range!

Looks like the anmut family is going to be too worn out from the 4th weekend to make the trip. Have fun!

@Brad460 it’s a get together at Clark’s Point (12:00pm - 5:00pm) which is on the northern edge of Lake Winneconne right where it meets Lake Poygan. There will be a barge with live music and I think there were 75-100 boats last year according to @drewkaree. We decided to do a jetboater.net meet-up at the event and raft up or anchor close to each other - have a few beverages and swap war stories. If you can make it that would be great!! :)

I did this quick on my iPad but it should get you in the neighborhood - I’m guessing it will be easy to find:

@Brad460 scratch that. @WiskyDan has the two mixed up.

Clark's Point is August 7th, that's the Sandbar Bash. This weekend, July 10th, the Barge Party is going to be over by Norwegian Bay. Indian Point is what all the locals call it, and the super-locals call it "3 Silo's". If I remember correctly, you put in over by Rainbow Park in Oshkosh - same offer applies, drive another half an hour to drop in by me, and save an hour's worth of boat fuel. Hit me up with a PM if you need directions, I can't recall if I gave you my number earlier, or if you still have it. I gave it in "code" earlier in this thread, if you can track that down too.

The area you're looking for is easy enough to find - where Dan's map is showing you the X, keep heading west. I don't know what your new boat drafts, but it will be 3-ish feet a good ways out from the north shore, so staying right along the center of Poygan should get you safely 90% of the way in 5-6' of water. When you see the 3 silo's on the north shore (hence the name), you should see a healthy number of boats. I don't know if it's going to be multiple bands, or if the neighbor's son is going to be playing again this year (or just DJ'ing), or what, but if it's the same setup as last year, they'll have a stage set up that we'll gather around. Best to come in as close as you feel comfortable, and walk your boat in the rest of the way. 200-300 yards from shore should be decent bottom.

@Brad460 here's a better shot of the area. Norwegian Bay is marked on the northwest side (NOT the pink circle, that was from an earlier pic where we though the August 7th bash was going to be), you should see the gathering pretty easily. Like I said, depth along the north shore is going to be 3-ish feet a good long ways out, so cruising right down the middle is the least worrisome if you draft more than your old AR210 with the new boat.

You dropped in right across the river from Fox River Brewing, that's just down the river from Sweetwater where @WiskyDan has his boat, so if you're coming to the area, maybe you two can hook up and you can follow him, since he's at least made the trip once, over to me via boat. He was 90% of the way to the Barge Party area, so I can get you both the last 10%

@SCP1 is also possibly going to be making it this weekend, he was still trying to hammer out details though.

Alright it’s looking like this weekend is not going to work so we will try for the 10th.

Whoa, sorry about that!! Funny thing is I didn’t mix them up, I thought they were both at Clark’s Point!!!

I went back through the posts and @drewkaree clearly states that it‘s at Norwegian Bay - I’m getting old and forgetful.

Unfortunately we can’t make it either. Too much traveling this past week. And as of now August 7th is out for us too. It’s family night up at Lambeau. Hopefully #12 shows up! GPG!

My crew backed out on me so I'm not going to make it. I don't want to go alone.

Had a great time this past Saturday and enjoyed meeting @Brad460 (even though he has a Moomba :)), @906Tony, and @dietz2403. There were four other Yami's in attendance and we made our way over to each one to chat. We were especially interested in a blue/black 255XD and spent about a half hour chatting with the owner - beautiful boat.

It was hard at times keeping up with drewkaree who is the unofficial mayor of 'Sandbarville' as he maneuvered from boat to boat but I managed. :) We talked with 906Tony about a possible meetup at Torch Lake in Michigan at some point and that would be something that I would go for - looks like an awesome place to boat.

We spent a good portion of the evening at the "Buss Stop" in Fremont with drewkaree's family (great people) and then camped out in his front yard.

I can't believe that I forgot to take pictures but maybe one of the other attendees did.
