I caught either COVID or the flu here in Colombia. I still rather be here, sick and 80F outside, than to be home in NY with a realfeel of -20F lol

So I ordered take out for the 1st time and the app is impressive. I ordered Sanchocho Trifasico. Its soup with pork, ribs, chicken, corn, carrots, plantains, potatos, corn, garlic, onion, and yuca. On the side, avocado, rice, and a.. peeled banana?? This is strange to me lol. Colombians put everything in the kitchen in 1 pot and make soup. It should help me recover from whatever virus that I got. I'm feeling better today. Just going to stay home, rest, and plan my trip to Cartagena and look for an apartment for March.

Temp here is coming up fast. From the time I headed out to walk Cooper and then clear the driveway, it's up from -9 to -2! Should see 20 this afternoon and 40+ tomorrow...I think winter is pretty much over. Almost time to start getting the boat ready.

Today, JB allowed a chi-com spy balloon to fly over my house. It actually looks a lot bigger to the naked eye.

Got a little ambitious today. Changed all for struts, both front stabilizer linkage bars, rotors and switched from semi metallic pads to ceramic. While I was at it, rotated the tires. Tried convincing the wife I needed to capture the air and rotate that too, but she didn’t find that as funny as I did. Have to say tho, as butt as ugly as all Honda CRVs are, this one has been exceptional. We bought it new in 2016 and only thing I have done was 2 batteries. Noticed a “floatier” ride and some squeaky brakes, but not bad for 69,900 miles on all OE parts from the factory.

@Thermobrett I've used those prepackaged strut assemblies a few times on friends vehicles. Makes pretty easy work out of an otherwise tedious and somewhat dangerous job. Never been a fan of the DIY spring compressors you have to use to change a strut at home.

I feel your pain! It was 62 degrees this morning when I hit the links….had to wear a pull-over all day due to the wind. Brrrrr.

I've got a 10am Tee Time at Persimmon Ridge here in Louisville tomorrow. Expecting it to be 37deg when we tee of, but warm to around 57 by the time we're done.

Good chance we won't drink many beers, but will likely have some bourbon in our coffee

I agree. I used Rock Auto for everything. Total was just under $600. The local tire and auto care shop up the street from me quoted just the front brakes (semi metallic rotor and pads) at $300 and another $300 for the rear. I’m sure the struts would have been another $1000 or more.

Was actually really impressed with this. This dealer also sells Supreme boats as well and said the wave this put out was very nice and surfable stock. You can get a PCM engine for $2200 extra, but had the 6.2l mercruiser. They use ZF transmissions which is the same as nautiques. Those rear seats are nice. Interior looks super cheap in pictures but felt really nice in person. I went in expecting I would never buy a heyday. Now I'm not certain I wouldn't. When it gets warmer the owner said they need to take me out on the H22. As much as I wanna right now is not the time to hop into a $100k+ boat. If I was to buy one today based purely on what I saw today it would be H22, Malibu VLX, and Moomba Craz.

We saw -22 here with a -63 “real feel” whatever that means.

20+- years ago we had similar temps but for 2 weeks straight. Didn’t get above zero during the day for 10 days or so.

Don’t forget to get a gallon of Kroger chocolate milk! The best chocolate milk you will ever have. Used to get it when I visited my parents in Dayton.

Started the stripping and replacing all my decking with composite, disconnected and moved the outdoor kitchen out and did that section first.

Even the professional spring compressors can be a little sketchy. Some springs are weird, can't grab them the right way, and there's a ton of pressure on the spring when dropping the strut. 1 slip and the spring can really mess someone up. I can imagine how scary a DIY spring compressor can be.
