Think that is all I have ordered/planned. The stereo will be installed professionally so I'm not worried about wiring and such for that and the charging relay system(which they said they can also install)

So to all you other mod crazy people, help me spend my money, what else am I missing that I shoudl really have! Think I've hit most of the common/key mods for the yamaha's. Do I need to find some guide post pads for the CE Smith's? Any good recommendations as to were I can find some?

You've covered a good bit.
But you'll think of more as you finish up those. Everytime I think I'm done, I come here and see some more stuff I want. This place is expensive!
I had an 01' Crownline for 11 years. It was pretty much stock. Traded it in 2012. Started hanging with these guys, and that was it. Both my Yamahas were far from stock!
My financial advisor (wife) hates these people! :D

Yeah - if it's not on your list. EZ Locks or Tru Locks - one or the other.

How do you like the Ramp-n-Clamp?

Yeah I'll be honest I keep debating a kind of plug locks, but I haven't had any issues and it's hard justifiying money to something that could be operator error. I've read through a bunch of threads and polls and such and I'm just not sure it's needed.

Throttle sync is another I just can't seem to justify the expense. I don't find it any more difficult to move the throttles as one. Unless I'm missing something else it does I'll have to pass on the throttle sync, but thanks for the suggestion.

I'll be honest I haven't had a bunch of experience with ramp-n-clamp yet, maybe 3 launch and recoveries. But so far it seems like a really nice system.

I've seen lots of talk about the Ramp-n-Clamp on the MC forum. I've been curious about it myself - but I've held off simply cause we are not allowed to power load at our local launch. We have to walk it on the trailer. No biggie - me and the kids have it down - takes us 3-4 minutes. But it looks interesting.

Knew I was forgetting one, added Wake Wedge to the Not yet ordered list. Still waiting to order until they get a fix for the TV-XL binding problem on the 212x

One quick question about house batteries and running an on board charger. So currently have the battery that came with my boat, seeing as I'm adding a dual battery switch and running a large stereo system I'll be adding a house battery to run the electronics. Now I've always read with RV batteries to use the same size/age of battery. Now in this situation would it matter? In my mind the batteries are essentially isolated from each other (unless you turn the switch to use both in an emergency situation) So would using two different types and sizes of batteries create any issues? Would the charger freak out being connected to one AGM battery and one not? maybe @ChargerGuy can chime in?

It won't matter as you are isolating them. If they were cranking batteries and you needed the CCA then I would say yes but it is not critical. They suggest that so the draw is equal on both, makes it easier on the charging system for recovery. I like you items, I have been thinking about the bow cover and se they offer a snap on and a snap less but I never seem to see any with the snap less one. I would want it for early season or late season to cut airflow down low at feet etc...

Why would you use 2 Ht-4s to power 8 6.5s? 1 HT-4 would get the job done....

Well I'll probably eventually be upgrading the cabin speakers, so the wetsounds or Polk mm take about 110 rms. HT4 puts out 4x110 rms. So 2 if I want to run 8 speakers... Or am I missing something?

If you run 8 speakers (2 speakers per channel) it drops the impedance to 2 ohms. With the HT4 in 2 ohm configuration it will send 150Wx4, so essentially 75Wx8. If you get a SYN4 and run it in 2 ohm configuration it will push 200Wx4, so 100Wx8....

My concern with running the Amp's at 2 ohms would be the extra work and heat generated from them. Sure they are only cabin speakers and shouldn't be that hard of a draw on the amp, but I prefer to have my system with overhead instead of running at it's peak limits.

That is QUITE a list! Heck, after installing all of the goodies, you may not even need to add ballast!

Running those amps at 2 ohms won't hurt them at all. No different than bridging an amp to run a single 4 ohm sub. The speakers don't "draw" power, they just take what you send them. Sure, running two 4 channel amps to power 8 speakers will work well and likely will have the highest sound quality, but I doubt it is noticeable in a boat, moving or not. Just food for thought.

Regarding EZ locks, the nice thing about them is that they all but eliminate the possibility of user error when installing the plugs because they make it obvious when you have the plugs seated and the dogs fully engaged. For $35, it was an easy decision for me.

Funny you mention that @Williamsone46 I was actually just looking online last night for a good tower mount of the GoPro. Any suggestions? didn't find any I really like that weren't crazy expensive (like 200 bucks)

I keep debating the tint, I live in Alberta Canada so the heat from the sun coming through the windows isn't really a concern, it would totally be cosmetic. Just trying to debate how much vision would be lost having a darker tint in lower light conditions.

If I went with wetsounds 6.5 I wouldn't be as worried, the polk MM are already a low impedence speaker at 2.7 ohm. Running them in parallel would bring that impedence down even further to where I'm not sure the amp would be comfortable. Maybe I'm just being overly careful.

@Russ C I love the GoPro mount. I've been experimenting with mounting mine on the tow rope. But I love your self tracking one. Any chance you could put a list of components that you used? Thanks in advance.
