So after a number of years and some deliberation on whether to upgrade to a newer boat or just do some simple upgrades and extend the life of our existing boat we decided to do the latter.

Here is the beginning of my new boat graphics and interior upgrade. I'll post additional photos as the entire process completes.

Planned Upgrades - Wrap, Interior based on new boats, New Infinity Interior Speakers, Traction Mat on rear platform

I've attached a "Before" image for reference purposes.

Nice work. . . . looking forward to interior pics.

Looks good I'm sure that cost a pretty penny
It costs a few thousand bucks to make all the upgrades, but I'm well below spending $20-30k or more that I would want to spend to get into the models I'd really want.

Hey, if it ain't broke. . . .

I would like all the bells and whistles of the automated ballasts & cruise control, but our lakes in KS are not the best. If I lived on Table Rock in MO, then I probably would go newer.

Hell, I have a 14' and I would like all the bells and whistles. . . . but in reality we can get by just fine with some minor tweaks/mods.

Awesome!! If you don't mind me asking what is the cost of the exterior wrap? Been looking at doing this.

And more pictures PLEASE!

Graphics were about $700/side + install so just over $2k total. It did the trick for us and really freshened up the boat.

Not to bad.... Man you hit a home run with that wrap! was that something you designed?

Thanks! - I figured it was a small price to pay to keep us in this boat and not go out shopping. Haha

As for the design... I took the look from the newer boats and then overlaid the yamaha on their design myself to make it a little different. Then I took the design to the sign company and had them do the artwork based on my mock up (See my avatar as that's the mock up I did, it's not a real graphic just Photoshop)

If its not too late...I would avoid any black on seats if you can (unless it never gets hot and sunny where you are). The black headrests on my 242X require a towel be put over them here in NC if you want to touch them!

Agree on the dark upholstery! We had some grey out on ours, OUCH! Man does it get hot!

My last boat had burgundy color on the seats and sun pad......great for frying eggs!

I'm seriously thinking about getting a wrap done after seeing this one. I can't wait to hear how it turns out.

A couple more images before I get it out of the garage and setup the tower, etc. IMG_7441.JPG IMG_7442.JPG IMG_7443.JPG

Installed the "Teak" traction mat last night. Plan to tint the windows and get the interior installed this week and be on the lake this weekend for the 4th. I'll post pictures of the boat in the water. The changes are really making the boat look entirely different.
