Hi, my 230 wake is leaking water inside the engine compartment, I had the mechanic check the engines and everything was fine, the mufflers are in good condition so I don't think there's leak from the exhaust.

I noticed the leak gets worst at higher speed, the water accumulates under the engines so I have to start the bilge pump frequently, I spend almost an hour checking the engines while the boat is running and didn't notice anything.

Any thoughts??

Thanks

Julian

Put it in the water and let it sit a while if it isn't taking on water stationary then it is most likely a bad hose clamp if the water is hot it is very likely a hose clamp check them all closely since you say it is worse at high speed my guess is the hoses or clamps.

sea-doo is closed loop so wouldn't it be engine coolant and not water if it was bad hoses?

not for the exhaust system! there is no closed loop on that it use fresh water just like any other jet boat, and that is where they usually leak from a bad hose or clamp

Carbon seal failure. Thats a wear item, and needs to be replaced on an as needed basis. Its a cheap item to repair, and very easy. The boats also have these, even the new ones like the Scarab.

Here is what happens when it starts to fail.
